World Financial Center 

Introduction 

Located at the center of Lujiazui in Pudong New District neighboring Shanghai Tower and Jin Mao Tower, the World Financial Center nicknamed the bottle opener was constructed in 1997 with its completion being in 2008. It was designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox architectural firm & Mori Building Corporation of Japan. The building stands at 492 meters high and has 3 underground floors and 101 above the ground. Its observation decks are on the 94, 97 and 100 floors. 

Things to do and see on a visit

Sightseeing Arena on 94 Floor (1,388 feet)

On this floor, visitors can see a birds-eye view of Shanghai along the Huangpu River. The sightseeing hall here measures 750 square meters and is very suitable for exhibitions. In addition, there is a bar, cafe and souvenir store in the arena. The floor hosts high profile corporate events, glamorous fashion shows, special gala events, luxury product launches and celebratory banquets. 

Sightseeing Observatory on 97 Floor (1,440 feet)

On the 97th floor, the upper ceiling opens up into an overpass in good weather when lit by natural light providing a suitable place for pictures on the parapets of its windows.

Sightseeing Skywalk on 100 Floor (1,555 feet)

This is the world’s largest observatory made up of three transparent glass-walled walkway measuring 55 meters long. Visitors get to feel the sense of thrill and adventure as they see the top of the Oriental Pearl Tower and feel as though they are walking in the air above the roof of the Jin Mao Tower. From this floor, the city appears to be a distance away and pedestrians walking and cars moving appear so minute.

Park Hyatt Hotel 

Located on the 79th floor to the 93rd floor, there is a cocktail bar on the 87th floor which gives visitors the best spot to overlook the whole city. From the 100 Century Avenue Restaurant located on the 91st-floor visitors can also see the top of the near neighboring Oriental Pearl Tower and Jin Mao Tower in addition to the many symbolic landmarks of the city and a comprehensive view of Pudong. Visitors can also enjoy swimming from  366 meters high at the highest swimming pool on the 85th floor.
